Fairfield Tournament of Champions

Congratulations are in order for our Marching Band and Colorguard after coming home with six awards: 1st in Division, 2nds in Woodwinds, Percussion, Brass and Field, and 5th in Auxiliary. Our students' performance was exceptional. Many non-Folsom visitors in the stands gave them a standing ovation!

A delicious Thanksgiving dinner was enjoyed by all before leaving the school for the competition. Thank you to the Meisters once again for the great dinner and to all the volunteers that helped make it possible. We watched a great DVD on the Band season, compliments of Toni Carstens, that was full of entertaining video and many laughs. Look for a chance to purchase the DVD later this year.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Folsom Fall Festival Wrap-Up

Everyone is still talking about what a great day last Saturday was! Thank you to all involved in the success of the 6th Annual Folsom Fall Festival. Because of your efforts, we collected approximately $14,000 for the music fund! Our band had a great performing day as well. We placed 2nd overall, only 1.3 points away from the winner of the day, Granite Bay High School. As host of the event, we don't actually "win," but it's good to know we're up with the best of them.

Hope you enjoy the blog photos courtesy of Toni Carstens!

Congratulations Daniel Nickerson!

Our very own Daniel Nickerson won 1st and 2nd place for Musical Composition in the recent PTA Reflections contest. Way to go Daniel!
