Shred Day Fundraiser Saturday October 10th

FHS Music Boosters 1st Annual Shred Day - Saturday, October 10th at Folsom Middle School on Blue Ravine from 9am to 2pm. Do you have personal documents you need shredded? Bring your bags or boxes of papers to our Community Shred Day Fundraiser. We will be accepting donations (recommended $5 per bankers box/grocery bag or $10 per tall kitchen bag). Shred Biz will be onsite with video camera on truck to witness items being shredded. Shred Biz has graciously offered us 100% of the donations instead of the typical 75%.

Please inform friends, neighbors, co-workers, businesses of our upcoming community shred day! Visit www.folsommusic.org for flyer you can email or post. If anyone would like to volunteer this day - please contact Lorie Walton at president@folsommusic.org or 217-2570. We just need a few volunteers to help unload boxes and accept donations.

Alumni Corner

Kelsey Iverson is a 2006 Folsom High music graduate who played trombone in Jazz Band I and sang with the Jazz Choir. Kelsey went on to play the trombone with the Sacramento State University Jazz Band A, the Sac State Orchestra, and several chamber groups. She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Trombone Performance.

Kelsey is currently spending 3 months living in Prague and traveling throughout Europe. Kelsey said, "I am reminded of the Folsom Jazz Eurotrips in 2002 and 2006 almost every day here!" When she returns to the U.S., she plans to attend grad school, possibly at CU Boulder in Colorado. But that decision won't be made until she hears back from all of her applications. We wish you much good luck, Kelsey, from your Folsom High music supporters!
